Meade Design Group was engaged by a recently retired couple downsizing and making the big move to the Garden City from the Prairies. Their objective was to breathe some life into what felt like a somewhat sterile contemporary space in comparison to their cozy aesthetic that was established in their previous home. A West Coast modern approach was implemented in addition to addressing the need for increased functionality.

A mix of local and well-traveled art and globally inspired lighting selections provide character and interest while carefully planned millwork with matte black metal accents blend seamlessly into the existing space adding ample storage.

Inviting, soft and durable furnishings complete the fusion of their spaces past and present. The finished condo maintains a light, bright, and modern sensibility while respecting the personality and lifestyle needs for this fun couple.
