KÁVA & CO

Located in scenic Mill Bay on Vancouver Island, Káva and Co. has become a beloved coffee destination celebrated for its inviting atmosphere, artisanal brews, and stylish sensibility. Meade Design Group was proud to develop the complete graphic identity and branding for this standout café — giving it a distinct personality that feels as warm and welcoming as the coffee it serves.

Our scope included the creation of a full brand identity system, starting with a logo that reflects Káva’s contemporary, laid-back spirit with subtle nods to art deco. The brand’s visual language was further extended through custom-designed to-go cups, punch cards, window graphics, signage, and branded packaging — all crafted to create a seamless and memorable experience at every customer touchpoint.

With thoughtful typography, earthy yet modern colour palettes, and playful graphic elements, the branding captures Káva’s ethos: community-driven, quality-focused, and effortlessly cool. Every detail was designed with intention — from the scale of the iconography to the texture of printed pieces — ensuring that the brand feels cohesive both online and in-store.

Barclay’s Bridal Showroom

The Barclay’s Bridal Showroom, an extension of Meade Design Group’s former renovation to Barclay’s Fine Jewellers on Oak Bay Avenue, seamlessly continues the luxurious and refined experience of the downstairs jewellery store while creating its own intimate and serene ambiance. Located upstairs, this space offers a private setting for clients to celebrate their journey in selecting the perfect engagement ring.

The design draws inspiration from the sophisticated elements of the main showroom, incorporating muted tones, gold accents, and intricate textures that create an elegant, welcoming atmosphere. Although inspired by the previous renovation, this floor took on a decidedly more “Bridal” approach, with romantic, lace-inspired textures and palette; Meade Design Group elevated the space with statement wall art, sophisticated lighting, plush furnishings, and a thoughtful layering of materials, including velvet, silk, and metallic finishes. These elements enhance the space’s serene and intimate feel, offering a sense of luxury that complements the downstairs experience while standing as a unique space for bridal moments.

As an extension of Barclay’s Fine Jewellers, the Barclay’s Bridal Showroom maintains the same elevated aesthetic, furthering the refined tone of the downstairs space. With a careful balance of elegance and warmth, the showroom provides a serene environment for couples to find the perfect symbol of their love and commitment.

Bear Mountain

Nestled in the heart of Bear Mountain in Victoria, BC, this condo redesign was a fresh start for our client; a warm and inviting retreat crafted with intention. Seeking a home that balanced style, comfort, and functionality, she turned to Meade Design Group to transform a once cold and uninspired space into a sophisticated yet welcoming sanctuary.

Optimizing the layout was key. Limited square footage and awkward planning called for a strategic reimagining of the flow. By repurposing underutilized areas, we carved out a dedicated dining space and opened up the living room, creating a seamless environment for everyday living and entertaining. Layering natural materials like wood and stone with rich textiles added depth and warmth, while a mix of curved and angular furnishings introduced visual softness. Brass finishes and custom millwork ensured a cohesive, polished feel throughout.

A striking fireplace redesign, combining tile and wallpaper, became the focal point, exuding warmth and personality. Thoughtfully selected wallpapers and textures enhanced intimacy, transforming the condo into a deeply personal retreat. Once stark and impersonal, the space now embodies comfort, sophistication, and purpose—a true reflection of its owner’s journey of renewal and tranquility.

Meade Design Group had the pleasure of working with Donald Krassman, a seasoned hairdresser, to develop a sophisticated brand identity for his new salon, opening at 655 Fort Street in Victoria. Inspired by Donald’s refined approach to hairdressing, the brand package needed to exude both professionalism and approachability, embodying the unique artistry and elegance he brings to his work.

A palette of deep, muted tones was carefully selected, lending a timeless yet modern appeal to the brand. This color scheme, paired with vintage-inspired typography, reflects a refined aesthetic while embracing a welcoming vibe. Every detail—from the sleek, stylized logo to intricate pattern work—was crafted to mirror the salon’s personality and Donald’s commitment to quality and style.
