SHERMAN OAKS – An Elegant Design

From the onset of this project, Meade Design had a clear vision for this Hollywood bungalow: feminine, mature, distinctive and elegant interior design. There was also a desire to embrace the character of the 1940’s bungalow near Beverly Hills. An air of Hollywood glamour was achieved using a combination of custom upholstered furnishings, crystal lamps, luxurious designer fabrics and built-ins that were balanced with pieces that showed signs of wear and patina. A soft, feminine palette of mauves, greys, taupes and eggplant was carried throughout, offset with shimmering chrome and rich espresso wood tones. This project was published! Kathy Sendall

Kathy Sendall is a businesswoman at the top of her field. She needed personalized, professional stationery to be used for her various endeavours. A simple and mildly feminine typography was used for a fashion-forward aesthetic. Lowercase letters were used throughout to reinforce the approachability of Kathy herself. The glyphs on the first and last letters were extruded to the edges of the page with a full bleed, resulting in a memorable detail.

Christopher Developments

Christopher Walker is amongst the most highly regarded contractors in Victoria. He approached Meade Design Group with a request for reinvention of his existing branding. A classic typography was selected as an ode to his company’s heritage, and the layout was set as a right justification, for a more modern interpretation, reflecting the more modern style of architecture his homes have tended towards in recent years. The typography was designed to act either as a simple, sophisticated stand-alone brand, or, used in combination with some of Christopher’s favourite architectural concepts.

Canton

Canton is an exporter between China and Mexico. They needed a logo that reflected strong quality reassurance and relations. Being a primary export, machinery was used as an inspiration, using a font reminiscent of stencilling in combination with a bold mix of charcoal (stability, strength) and orange (friendship).

Afin

Meade Design Group was approached to create a logo for Afin, an obstetrician/gynaecologist practice in Mexico. Having exclusively female clients, the logo is designed with very curvaceous, feminine typography and a rounded mark which symbolizes both the relationship between mother and child, and patient and doctor. Soft, warm greys and pinks were used in this logo to reinforce the feminine nature of the practice and the calm, caring environment. Lowercase text also enhances the calm, friendly and approachable environment.
