Another recently completed interior design project, this design was inspired by the waterfront that the home was situated on – a very coastal interior design style. Using tones reminiscent of the beach – greys, blues and sandy taupes, and textures with sheen (mimicking the ocean), matte (driftwood) and a rough hand (sand) offset with modern lines and crisp blacks to reflect the homes modern architecture.
The West Coast space was also designed around accommodating the couple’s two large dogs and an active social life.
Please check it out in our portfolio here.
Here’s what the clients had to say about working with Meade Design Group:
“Hiring a designer to completely transform our home was a big decision; ultimately an act of trust. The Meade Design Group never let us down. The vision, plan and execution were flawless and efficient, the materials elegant and reflective of our taste. But it was the relationship with the whole team that made the result amazing. We always felt heard and it became a shared creative experience. Our home is now a perfect extension of its beautiful west coast setting.
There is not a day that goes by that we are not grateful for what Ivan, Echo and their team have done for us.”

We are very excited to share one of our recently completed interior design projects, for clients with traditional design tastes in a modern building. The clients were downsizing and moving from out-of-province to Victoria BC. The result: a transitional design scheme (including custom millwork) in a neutral palette with steel-blue and golden accents.
Please check it out in our portfolio here.
Here’s what the clients had to say about working with Meade Design Group:
“After moving from a large house and selling all our furniture, the prospect of how to make our small condo, with its challenging room configurations an elegant but comfortable new home seemed a daunting task. Fortunately for us, a friend recommended Meade Design and we decided to start with the living/dining room and an office. Working with Meade Design was a true pleasure and eye-opening experience as to how gifted, innovative interior designers conceptualize and put together living spaces. Any time there were setbacks (and, inevitably, on any project there are a few), Ivan and Echo went above and beyond expectations to rectify problems and keep things on track. We could not be happier with the end result. The office space is both beautiful and functional and the living/dining room is everything we hoped for and much more. We are so pleased with this project that we have embarked on a new one to design our bedroom. We can’t wait to see the finished results!”
And neither can we! Stay tuned for more.

Well, we really pushed ourselves to the limits with our most recent site launches! but we are so happy we did it and proud of what we have accomplished. All three sites are now completely responsive and use CMS, not to mention, they have a very cohesive appeal for maximum brand recognition.
We focused on getting as much information as we could on the new Meade Design Group site, including extensive portfolios for the interior and graphic design galleries with more specific descriptions. The images throughout are also much larger so you can really see the beautiful design details (and people!) in them.
For IvanMeade.com, we wanted a high-end branded appeal, but also needed to maintain the functionality of the e-commerce portions of the site. We applied some of the basic design elements used on MeadeDesignGroup.com, but added colours from the line into the site’s theme in addition to focusing on key images used in the line’s advertising and branded elements.
Lastly, our revamped blog, LifeMStyle.com, was created to be interactive, fun and more user-friendly than our old format.
Everything is new, bolder, and clean. We hope you like it!

Take a peek at The Avenue Gallery’s new look at: theavenuegallery.com courtesy of Meade Design Group!
We updated one of Victoria BC’s best art galleries with a new site which makes updating (thanks to CMS via WordPress) and online purchasing (e-commerce) a breeze. With these great new features, we have also made the website responsive, meaning that it looks just as great on smart phones, tablets and small screens as it does on larger screens.
The new look is subtle and clean. The greyscale palette allows all of the artwork to pop while maintaining an unobtrusive and contemporary aesthetic.
We are excited to enable The Avenue Gallery to extend their reach beyond Oak Bay Avenue to the rest of BC, Canada, and indeed the world wide web.

We love working with our repeat clients at The Village Restaurant, and were thrilled to take on Village #2 in Royal Oak!
It was a wonderful opportunity for us to be able to reinterpret our design elements from the Estevan location to suit this new space’s needs and introduce the new secondary logo.
We re-used many materials and fixtures for consistency, but also added in new unique features, such as the private dining and waiting spaces and lots of mirror to reflect as much light as possible. We were also able to introduce banquette style-seating to maximize the floor space.
Stay tuned to see this new village added to our portfolio with a full gallery in both the interiors and graphics sections of our website!
Remember to check out the restaurant interior design project and what did for their branding and graphics design.

Meade Design Group’s very first wedding and we’ve already had it published!!! WE and out clients are honoured to have been featured as one of top bridal inspiration magazine Wedding Bells’ ‘Real Weddings’ on their website.
The wedding vision included an air of vintage charm which was introduced throughout in such elements as the bride’s birdcage veil and the invitations, in addition to the mismatched collection of antique china used in the place settings atop custom lace tablecloths.
This elegant affair was held at Victoria b.c.’s historic Hatley castle. The grounds are known for the peacocks that roam freely, and they quickly became the inspiration for the lively colour scheme and stationery which even included real peacock feathers.
